L’Alliance Francophone CVE

The French Alliance of CVE is a non-profit organisation fully structured with a Board of Directors and has more than 1300 French-speaking residents in Century Village. By and large they are Canadian snowbirds from different provinces such as Québec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, etc., as well as some Europeans and a few French-speaking U.S citizens. It was created in 1995 for the purpose of fostering friendly relations between its members, encouraging the exchange of ideas and promoting social, cultural and recreational activities. The French Alliance has its own information bulletin called ‘‘OYEZ’’ as well as a website (http://www.af-cve.org/default.aspx) and a Welcome Committee for all new French-speaking owners.

Also, arrangements were made with the Clubhouse library to set up a French section of books that are available to any visitor to the library.
